Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
  • Inspecting electrical machines and identifying faults or technical problems
  • Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment
  • Assisting in testing and commissioning of electrical installations
  • Monitoring electrical port equipment to ensure smooth operations
  • Preparing technical and maintenance reports
  • Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and operational procedures
  • Supporting engineers and technical teams during maintenance and repair activities

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution
  • Registration as a Technician with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) for Diploma holders
  • ICT skills
  • Good report writing skills
  • Knowledge of port operations and equipment
  • At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a reputable organization
