Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
- Installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment
- Inspecting electrical machines and identifying faults or technical problems
- Carrying out preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical equipment
- Assisting in testing and commissioning of electrical installations
- Monitoring electrical port equipment to ensure smooth operations
- Preparing technical and maintenance reports
- Ensuring compliance with electrical safety standards and operational procedures
- Supporting engineers and technical teams during maintenance and repair activities
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or its equivalent from a recognized institution
- Registration as a Technician with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK) for Diploma holders
- ICT skills
- Good report writing skills
- Knowledge of port operations and equipment
- At least 3 years of experience in a similar role in a reputable organization
