Job Description
Field Officer Position
Mission for Essential Drugs and Supplies (MEDS) is a faith-based health solutions provider established through an ecumenical partnership between the Kenya Conference of Catholic Bishops (KCCB) and the Christian Health Association of Kenya (CHAK). Since its founding in 1986, MEDS has been dedicated to delivering reliable and affordable Health Products and Technologies, Quality Assurance, and Health Systems Strengthening Services to clients across Kenya, other regions in Africa, and beyond.
Position Overview:
The Field Officer will report to the Sales & Marketing Manager and will be tasked with providing sales and client support services to contribute to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Product Marketing and Positioning:
- Implement strategies for effective product marketing and positioning.
- Member Education:
- Conduct member education initiatives to enhance customer experience.
- Field Activities:
- Schedule field activities for efficient resource utilization, aiming to achieve monthly and annual sales targets.
- Customer Relationship Building:
- Visit customers to establish relationships and identify their needs.
- Customer Concerns:
- Follow up on customer concerns to ensure satisfaction.
- Debt Collection:
- Collect debts to improve liquidity.
- Communication:
- Communicate all technical specifications to relevant committees/users.
Job Requirements:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a business-related course, with a Diploma in Pharmacy, Nursing, Medical Laboratory, Clinical Medicine, or any other Health-related course. Alternatively, a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences with a bias in Marketing.
- MBA will be an added advantage.
- Professional Registration:
- Registration with the relevant health professional body.
- Functional Skills:
- Competencies in statistical analysis, communication, sales and marketing, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
- Driving Experience:
- Clean driving license with over five years of continuous driving experience.
- Work Experience:
- At least five years of work experience in marketing, with three years in marketing health products and technologies.
- Behavioral Competencies:
- High level of integrity, interpersonal relations, self-driven, business acumen, excellent customer service, and social intelligence.
- Willingness:
- Willingness to work in any part of the country.
