Job Description

Key imperatives and responsibilities..

  • Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems.
  • Recruit staff members and in liaison with unit heads, oversee training programs; Plan and direct staffing, training and performance evaluations to develop their capabilities.
  • Administer compensation, benefits and performance management systems. and safety and recreation programs.
  • Advise managers on organizational policy matters such as equal employment opportunity and sexual harassment and recommend needed changes.
  • Analyze and modify compensation and benefit policies to establish competitive programs and ensure compliance with legal requirements.
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Plan, direct, supervise and coordinate work activities of subordinates and staff relating to employment, compensation, labor relations and employee relations.
  • Plan, organize, direct control or coordinate the labour relations activities of the company.
  • Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • A link between management and employees by handling questions, interpreting and administering contracts and helping resolve work-related problems. Visit workplaces, take note of concerns and act accordingly.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of all staff, recommending and implementing personnel actions, such as promotions and dismissals.
  • Payroll Management and implementation of statutory requirements from NHIF, NSSF, NITA and PAYE.
  • Perform any other duties as may be assigned by the Directors
