Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Leverage expertise in emerging technologies (e.g. virtualization, cloud computing, etc.), benchmarks and architecture as well as broader business strategies to define and drive the appropriate network infrastructure strategy (data centres networks, WAN/LAN, firewalls, load balancers, unified communications) for the Group across multiple countries.
  • Identify, define, and lead the implementation of network infrastructure migration opportunities across the Group as part of the broader infrastructure strategy.
  • Assume one stop accountability for the delivery of enterprise-wide network infrastructure and infrastructure operations at an optimal cost of tech across the Group.
  • Proactively monitor, manage, and mitigate risk (e.g. reputation, resilience, stability, security) associated with the network infrastructure and infrastructure operations technologies.
  • Create and maintain necessary capability, knowledge, and skills both personally and within the Network infrastructure team to deliver world-class network solutions to the Bank.
  • Provide technical governance and leadership around design and use of KCB Group’s network infrastructure.
  • Conduct ongoing assessments of the Banks existing network infrastructure and build and communicate relevant insights, consumption, cost etc. for business decision making.
  • Proactively and meaningfully collaborate across the value chain and broader region to translate the network infrastructure technology roadmaps into implications for the design and delivery of sustainable strategies and solutions.
  • Ensure sustainable, regulatory compliant infrastructure product service design and deployment across the Group.
  • Embed a culture of ongoing maintenance and optimization of the network infrastructure as a way of doing things and hold accountability for an optimized network infrastructure base across the Group.

Required skills

A Postgraduate Degree (Master’s) in a relevant domain is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree in an ICT-related field or Electrical Engineering. Cloud Certifications: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) cloud Certifications are added adva Firewall vendor certification (CCNP Security/Fortinet NSE/Check Point CCSA/CCSE) are added advantage Professional Certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP Enterprise/Data Centre) cert
