Senior Sustainability Program Manager
- Reports to: Head Of Group Sustainability
- Unit: Sustainability Department: Executive Office
Purpose: As Senior Program Manager – Risk and Reporting, coordinate technical E&S functions for the planning, development, and execution of NCBA Group’s Sustainability Strategy. Manage climate-related risk, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting while ensuring compliance and identifying carbon emissions reduction opportunities.
Key Accountabilities:
- Financial (10%):
- Track and report projects regularly, ensuring delivery within budget.
- Align project goals with corporate strategy.
- Internal Business Processes (70%):
- Develop and implement a comprehensive carbon audit program aligned with sustainability goals.
- Coordinate data collection, analysis, and evaluation of environmental metrics.
- Manage annual carbon audits and ensure compliance with reporting standards and regulations.
- Identify opportunities for reducing carbon emissions and develop strategies.
- Collaborate with departments for sustainability initiatives and stakeholder engagement.
- Prepare and submit accurate project updates and maintain documentation.
- Continuously monitor and track progress on carbon reduction initiatives.
- Customer (10%):
- Build and maintain positive relationships with business and technical teams.
- Serve as a resource for technical or business expertise.
- Learning and Growth (10%):
- Complete at least 1 technical skills/certification.

- Stakeholder Management:
- Internal: Specific departments within the assigned portfolio.
- External: Contracted Vendors, Regulators, DFIs, and investors.
Decision Making Authority/Mandates/Constraints: Operational and Managerial decisions. Propose business process/product changes, project implementation costs, and deal with compliance exceptions.
Work Cycle and Impact:
- Long Term Planning: 1 Year (Sustainability strategy development, Resource planning)
- Short Term Planning: 5 days – 3 months (Resource allocation)
Job Specifications:
- Experience with IFC performance standards (5+ years).

- Technical: Experience with IFC standards, project management, environmental regulations, data analysis.
