FENCE TECHNICIAN POSITION
Location: Mpala, North-Central Kenya
- Situated on the Laikipia plateau, north of the Equator, covering 48,000 acres of savannah and dry woodland habitats.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Organize and Plan Fence Repairs
- Schedule and plan day-to-day fence repairs.
- Prompt Breakage Repairs
- Ensure timely repair of reported breakages.
- Daily Fence Line Monitoring
- Monitor and inspect fence lines daily to identify and address breakages.
- Anomaly Reporting
- Report any anomalies discovered during inspections to the line supervisor.
- Voltage Reading Measurement
- Daily measure fence line voltage readings and maintain proper records.
- Vegetation Management
- Trim tree branches and grass growing on the fence for optimal functionality.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Certificate in Electrical Installation Technician II.
- Minimum one-year hands-on experience in electric fence repair.
- Knowledge of radio systems and related equipment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Good organizational skills.
- Strong written communication skills.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision.
