Job Description:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Human Resource Business Partner to join our team in Nairobi. The successful candidate will play a key role in partnering with line management to execute HR strategy in alignment with business objectives. As a change agent, the HR Business Partner will contribute to process design and approaches supporting change and transformation. The role involves analyzing trends and metrics, providing guidance on workforce planning, managing talent acquisition, coordinating onboarding, and facilitating day-to-day performance management. Additionally, the HR Business Partner will handle complex employee relations issues, improve work relationships, provide HR policy guidance, and contribute to the design and execution of employee engagement programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with line management to execute HR strategy aligned with business objectives.
  2. Act as a change agent, contributing to process design and approaches supporting change and transformation.
  3. Analyze trends and metrics, developing solutions, programs, and policies in collaboration with HR peers.
  4. Provide guidance on business unit restructures, workforce planning, and succession planning.
  5. Manage the talent acquisition process, ensuring efficiency in turnaround time.
  6. Coordinate induction and onboarding of new hires in consultation with hiring managers.
  7. Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to line management.
  8. Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues for sustainable industrial tranquility.
  9. Improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity, and enhance retention.
  10. Provide HR policy guidance and interpretation.
  11. Evaluate issues, patterns, and trends, providing proactive insights for employee engagement programs.
  12. Partner with payroll and benefits administration to ensure compliance and efficiency in service delivery.
  13. Identify training needs for the business unit, formulate training plans, and participate in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs.
  14. Partner with leadership and the learning and development team to grow the capacity of key talents and high potentials (HIPOs).
  15. Perform any other duties assigned.

Requirements:

  • Academic qualification: Bachelor’s degree with a Postgraduate qualification in HR management.
  • Professional registration: Institute of Human Resource Management.
  • General work experience (years): 7-10 years.
  • Specific to the position: HR generalist experience.
  • Industry: Manufacturing, Commercial Business unit.
