MACHINE ATTENDANT

Ensuring Efficient Machine Operations with Precision

General Purpose: Our client is seeking an experienced Machine Attendant to ensure optimal machine performance, adherence to food safety and quality specifications, and compliance with SOPs, GMPs, and health and safety requirements.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Meeting Production Targets:
    • Ensure all production targets are met within designated timelines.
  2. Team Supervision:
    • Supervise allocated team members effectively.
  3. SOP Adherence:
    • Strict adherence to all machine and operations SOPs.
  4. Process Efficiency:
    • Minimize process losses and wastage of products and packaging.
  5. Record Maintenance:
    • Maintain accurate records of shift activities.
  6. Start-ups, Shutdowns & Changeovers:
    • Ensure proper execution of start-ups, shutdowns, and changeovers as per SOPs and timelines.
  7. Equipment Operation and Monitoring:
    • Safely operate and monitor all equipment.
  8. Hygiene Adherence:
    • Ensure adherence to hygiene procedures for equipment and working areas.
  9. Troubleshooting and Reporting:
    • Identify and report machine faults promptly to Supervisor/Maintenance.
  10. Compliance with Policies:
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory and company policies and procedures.
  11. Coding and Batch Accuracy:
    • Ensure correct coding of products with accurate dates and batch numbers.
  12. Ingredient Management:
    • Ensure the right ingredients and amounts are used for various recipes, achieving the desired output.
  13. Machine Speed Regulation:
    • Regulate machine speeds and monitor machine efficiency.
  14. Parts and Tools Accountability:
    • Maintain 100% accountability for machine parts and tools.
  15. Assigned Duties:
    • Carry out any other duties as assigned.

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Certificate/Diploma in an engineering-related course.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in the food industry working with machinery.
  • Strong organizational and people skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Clear understanding of occupational, safety, and health procedures.
  • Familiarity with internal production guidelines and procedures manual.
  • Creative, decisive, and independent thinking.
  • Computer literate.
