Regular Duties/Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for electrical systems and equipment throughout the hospital as assigned including scheduled and unscheduled maintenance;
• Document all electrical activities and test results according to department policy;
• Promptly respond to system/equipment Breakdown Maintenance (BDM) request from user Departments as per policy;
• Timely complete Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for electrical system/equipment
• Liaison with user Departments for maintenance activities and report to supervisor on issues arising.

Periodic Duties/Responsibilities

• Coordinate and/or participate in requests for special projects, such as new systems/equipment acquisition purchase planning, development of bid specifications, etc.
• Develop with electrical supervisor Preventative Maintenance schedules and guidelines;
•  Develop systems/equipment safety and device-specific in-service education to other technicians     and  equipment users as necessary
• Perform incident investigation and system/equipment performance analysis as required.
• Develop or review emergency and safety plans related to use and operation of electrical system/equipment.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Electrical engineering (power option) or  equivalent qualifications
•  At least 2 years experience in a similar position.
• Computer knowledge will be an added advantage.
• Competent in technical operation and maintenance of HV/LV distribution, switchgear and controls, Diesel generators, steam boilers, laundry, kitchen equipment

• Operating and monitoring Synchrolift electrical control systems to ensure the safe handling of vessels during dry docking and undocking operations.
• Performing maintenance and troubleshooting of motor control center (MCC) operations and electrical components of the Synchrolift system.
• Obtaining and maintaining specialized training from the Synchrolift manufacturer regarding the electrical control system operations.
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical issues in control systems and associated equipment for continuous operational support of the Synchrolift.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Strong electrical background with demonstrated expertise in operating and maintaining complex electrical systems.
• Prior experience or knowledge of motor control center (MCC) operations.
• Familiarity with electrical standards, maintenance practices, and safety regulations.
• Completion of specialized training provided by the Synchrolift manufacturer for electrical control system operations (or ability to complete such training upon hire).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be in possession of a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
• Passport must be valid for a minimum of one (1) year or more at the time of hiring.

Asset Readiness & Disbursement

• Inspect all company assets on delivery, make an assessment that they are in good mechanical condition, receive the assets and sign a delivery note based on what has been received.
• Report any delivered damaged/ faulty assets to the Branch Executive, Procurement Officer, and General Manager.
• Immediately after offloading newly received assets and accessories, capture and record them into the ERP system.
• Ensure all assets are well branded, placed in a secure storage and organised systematically to allow for easy and timely access during disbursement.
• Ensuring all company assets ready for disbursement are captured and recorded in CRM and ERP, active and traceable on the Tugende dashboard.
• Ensure all disbursed company assets and accessories are picked and packed on the disbursement date.

Inventory and warehousing management 

• Recording of all second-hand hand bikes returned to the Branch.
• Update the inventory register with the specific details of the assets and accessories  held in stock at the branch (Brand, Colour, Value) in the ERP.
• Ensure that the inventory kept at the branch is well maintained in a clean and organised  manner.
• Ensure both the physical and ERP inventory register tally at all times.
• Uninstall the GPS tracker unit from the completed assets.
• Ensure GPS’ are available for installation in regards to planning based on current stock and advising procurements on restocking.
• Keep track of inventory levels and share snapshot reports as required from time to time.
• Ensure that GPS units are availed to the Tugende  branches

Document Management 

• Ensure all delivery notes of all assets , accessories, and spare parts are signed, scanned and kept on file in both soft and hard copies at the branch.
• Ensure picking lists are generated from the ERP, signed by the client and records kept at the branches.
• Daily reconciliation of the physical stock and the system to ensure that there are no asset losses or gaps with the system.

Sale, After Sales & Asset Servicing and Maintenance 

• Meet the assigned branch monthly  sales targets
• Ensure all client and staff assets are active and traceable on the dashboard at all times.
• Ensure all clients and staff assets are maintained in good working conditions at all times.
• Maintaining a tracker of clients and staff assets at all times.
• Ensure inspection of assets is done and recorded before repairs and services are updated on the CRM Database

Work Experience and Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with motorcycles and car assembly and repairs.
• At least one (1) year working experience as a mechanic or electrician with a reputable organisation or institute.
• A Diploma in Electrical/ Mechanical/ Automobile Engineering, or Motor Vehicle mechanics, obtained from a certified and recognised institution of learning.
• Should have a valid motorbike riding licence.(Mandatory)

UNEP is an Implementing Agency of the Multilateral Fund for the Implementation of the Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer. UNEP’s OzonAction’s Compliance Assistance Programme (CAP) provides global management services to ensure that National Ozone Units (NOUs) are provided adequate advisory services, capacity building and technical assistance to implement activities approved by the Multilateral Fund’s Executive Committee. At the same time, the global programme management services ensure that the Executive Committee receives timely, accurate, relevant and high-quality project proposals, financial and substantive reports, and information about the implementation of actions on the ground. At the 93rd ExCom and in line with the request of the Government of Eritrea and Kenya submitted through UNEP as lead implementing agency, ExCom approved funds for the preparation of the KIP of Eritrea and Kenya respectively. With the objective of establishing the basis for the preparation of the KIP, UNEP requires a consultant to guide the conducting of national HFCs surveys and preparation of the KIP project in of Eritrea and Kenya UNEP’s Business Plan for the years of 2023-2025 (UNEP/OzL.Pro/ExCom/91/25) is endorsed by the ExCom-91. Through the activities identified in this Business Plan, UNEP will assist the countries with implementing their HCFC phase-out responsibilities including preparing for the 2025 target and the total phase out, strengthening the government institutions in Article 5 countries responsible for implementing and reporting on their national strategies to comply with the Montreal Protocol, and sustaining Article 5 countries’ compliance with ozone depleting substance (ODS) phase out targets already met. The project services include preparation and implementation of HCFC Phase out Management Plans (HPMPs) Stages I, II, and III, Institutional Strengthening projects,Preparation of KIP (HFC) phase down plans, and other technical assistant programmes. In this regard, the OzonAction expects the submission of very complex projects to ExCom-95 (a peak load for submissions). Therefore, the OzonAction requires support by A consultant to provide the technical assistance during national HFC surveys, drafting of survey reports, drafting of KIP project and during projects review process for complying with ExCom guidelines/policies. Technical Support to accelerate joint action and joint funding of the UNCT Kenya under the SDG MPTF Kenya for the UNSDCF Kenya.

•  Support the design and implementation of joint programmes and planning/results reporting processes of the SDG MPTF Kenya and the UNSDCF (with particular focus on Strategic Priority 2 “Prosperity and Planet”) in close collaboration with all actors, including the UNCT, the Kenyan government, International Financing Institutions, development partners, private sector and a broad range of stakeholders.
•  Support to the SDG MPTF Kenya to drive conducive financing and institutional mechanisms in Kenya for DRR and resilience, to deliver the objectives in the UNSDCF. The incumbent will work together with the government (both national and county level) and a broad range of stakeholders including multilateral entities, international funds and the SDG Partnership Platform to support the mutual synergy and coordination on financing and investments.
